The Founder · Bobbiette Glover
I didn't build
the Core 6 in
a workshop.
I built it because I needed to survive. And then I spent seventeen years proving it worked — for fashion productions, fishing teams, government agencies, and a transit department that had no playbook. Now it's yours.

Chapter 01 · The Beginning
April 2010.
The day everything started.
On the same day in April 2010, I got married, got fired from my job as a marketing manager at a small credit union in Iowa, and founded Socialotus Media Group. I was also about to find out I was pregnant.
I didn't spiral. I built. My first client was a semi-pro football team owner. I didn't have a business plan. I had a skill, a laptop, and no other option. That combination turns out to be a powerful motivator.
But before that day — there was Iowa. A 14-year-old Black girl in a state with no fashion infrastructure who decided to build it herself. Super Shoots. Collaborative events for photographers, models, stylists, and makeup artists. Websites I taught myself to build. Registration systems I figured out because nobody else was going to figure them out for me. I was building systems before I had a word for what I was doing.
“I was building brand systems before I even knew what branding was.”
CHAPTER 02 · THE PROOF OF CONCEPT
17 years of building
for everyone else.
For seventeen years I built brands, campaigns, websites, and systems for clients. Small businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, creative professionals. 79+ clients. 200+ websites. Each one teaching me something about what worked — and what collapsed under pressure.
By 2020, I'd been doing this long enough to recognize the pattern. Every business — regardless of industry, size, or stage — operates across six functional domains. The ones that do it intentionally scale. The ones that don't keep rebuilding from scratch every time something changes.
I formalized that pattern into the Core 6 SmartStack Framework. Six pillars. Every pillar has a role. Every role has a home. When all six are working together, the business stops feeling like chaos and starts running like a system.
Then I went inside an institution and proved it worked there too.
“Every client taught me something. The framework is seventeen years of paying attention.”
Chapter 03 · The Movement
I built a brand
from a fishing boat.
In 2020, a group of Black women went deep-sea fishing in North Carolina — and won. I co-founded the Ebony Anglers and built the entire brand strategy, visual identity, media relationships, and content systems around it.
The Drew Barrymore Show called. The New York Times wrote about us. BBC Sport covered the story. Black Enterprise. Travel Noire. A local competitive fishing team became a national conversation about Black women reclaiming outdoor spaces — and I did it using the same frameworks I'd been building for clients for over a decade.
What Ebony Anglers proved: when you build with the right systems underneath it, you can go from local to legendary without burning out in the process. That insight is the philosophical foundation of Brand or Bust.

Chapter 04 · The Proof
The mockup
became the model.
In 2017, I joined Chapel Hill Transit as an administrative assistant. Not a glamorous title. But I watched what broke inside a public institution, learned what held, and quietly applied the same frameworks I'd been building for clients to the problems I was seeing every day.
Here's the part I love most about this chapter: I built a website for my job interview. A fully designed procurement hub — a visual, navigable system that showed exactly how I would organize the department if I got the role. That website got me the job. Then, over the years that followed, that concept became a real, functioning procurement infrastructure inside a live government agency.
In 2023, I was promoted to Procurement Analyst and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison Officer. That promotion happened because I adopted AI as a thinking partner earlier than almost anyone around me and used it to accelerate my institutional knowledge — the same way I'm teaching Brand or Bust members to use it now.
The procurement chapter isn't a detour from the brand strategy work. It's the deepest proof of concept the Core 6 Framework has ever had. It works in a fishing boat. It works in a transit agency. It works in your business.
“The mockup became the model. That's my entire career in six words.”
Chapter 05 · The Teaching
Now I'm teaching
everything I learned.
Brand or Bust is where all of it becomes yours. The Core 6 SmartStack Framework — distilled from 17 years of building for other people, proven inside an institution I couldn't fully control, and filtered through every chapter of the story above — is now the methodology I'm teaching directly to entrepreneurs who need it.
Not because it's my passion project. Because it works. And because I know what it costs to run a business without it. Start with the quiz. It'll tell you exactly where you are.
